Real-ESRGAN is a browser-based tool. Your image and video files are processed entirely within your browser using local browser APIs and model runtimes. We do not upload, transmit, store, or access your media files, image pixels, video frames, audio, or enhanced output files in any way. We also do not collect file names, local file paths, raw error stack traces, or your name and email address.

3. Information We May Collect

We collect usage data through third-party analytics services (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how visitors use our website and how well the upscaling tools work. This may include:

• Pages visited and time spent on pages
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Referring website or search terms
• General geographic location (country/region level)
• Technical attributes derived from the videos you process locally: file size, duration, resolution, file extension, codec, HDR flag, selected quality level, the processing backend and runtime used, processing time, whether processing succeeded or failed, a diagnostic code for failures, and whether the download button was clicked
• Coarse technical attributes derived from images you process locally: file extension, file-size bucket, input and output pixel buckets, automatically selected model tier and model scale, the processing backend and runtime used, whether the input was reduced for browser memory safety, whether processing succeeded or failed, a diagnostic code for failures, and whether the download button was clicked

This data is aggregated or pseudonymous. We use it to measure usage and improve reliability, not to identify you by name.

This website is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Real-ESRGAN authors, Tencent ARC Lab, or any of their affiliates. The name “Real-ESRGAN” is used solely to identify the underlying open-source model. Model attribution and license files are published alongside the model assets on this website.
